ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK
Its 32 kms from Arusha town, situated at Mt Meru , the 2nd highest Mountain. It has area of 137 sq km and is at altitude of 1.500 m. On clear day you get magnificent view of Mt Kilimanjaro almost at any part of park. Vegetation ranges from Forest to swamp. Animals found - baboon, buffalo, leopard, zebra, antelopes, hippo, giraffe, black and white colubus monkey, 400 species of birdlife.
Tourist attraction: Canoe safari on Momella Lake and walking safari around the rim of Ngurudoto crater, which is 20km across and 100m deep.
